Hello, walkers! Here’s the update from last week.
Steps
This week we walked 407,262 steps, which is 163 miles.
Top Walkers
Our top walker this week is Lexi, with 84,093 steps. I think that’s a career high for her or anybody…Next is James, with 44,867 steps. Close behind that is our third place walker, Mom, with 44,783 steps.
Where are we now?
As you recall, last time we were 102 miles past Canon City, Colorado, in the middle of nowhere.
So this week we walked 117 miles and got to Coolidge, Kansas. Coolidge, Kansas was featured in the 1983 motion picture "National Lampoon's Vacation" as the hometown of cousin Eddie. The Griswolds stopped by on their way to Walley World and got stuck with Aunt Edna and her dog Dinky. The population was at 86 in the 2000 census…no wonder I can’t find any pictures…We'll have to settle for cousin Eddie instead.
Then we walked 46 miles and got about halfway to Garden City, Kansas. We’ll be there next week, and probably to Dodge City, too!
