Week 13 -- Redstone, CO

Team:

Last week was a tough one. Dad was sick, James forgot to wear his pedometer most of the time, and Mom’s and Cass’s steps were low because their week was shortened. So we’re low this week. But we’re still pushing to make this week our best so far, so keep on a goin!

Steps
This week we walked 304,264 steps, which is 122 miles.

Top Walkers
Our top walker this week is Lexi, with 65,182 steps. Yay Lexi! Next is John, with 46,904 steps. Our third place walker is Mom, with 41,831 steps. (Notice how even though Mom’s week was abbreviated, she still beat most of us, including me.)

Where are we now?
As you recall, last time we were 98 miles past the Colorado border, in the middle of nowhere.

This past week, we walked 80 miles to Redstone, Colorado. Here’s a description from the web: “This enchanting alpine village and National Historic District, located along Colorado's West Elk Scenic Byway on the edge of the Maroon Bells Wilderness Area, offers world-class recreational activities and endless opportunities for adventure.” You better believe it! We’re having a blast in Colorado. I mean, look at this picture!

Then we walked 42 more miles, which puts us in the middle of nowhere again. We’re on our way to Buena Vista, CO. And then after that we’d have to walk 227 miles to Denver, so WALK A LOT!

Just remember to up your steps this week! Set a walking goal, and let’s reach it!

p.s. I am determined to get in the top 3…

To sum up
Steps walked this week: 304,264
Miles walked this week: 122
Total miles walked: 1749
Where we are: 42 miles past Redstone, Colorado
Where we’re going: Buena Vista, Colorado

Keep on a goin!

Love,
Holli
